Code of Conduct

At Mindful Seedlings we expect that all Guides, students and families act cordially and respectfully with one another, as well as towards the environment. We always clean up after every activity/meet up, making sure the environment is left clean. We also expect Guides, students and families to stick to their attendance with appropriate arrival time to give enough adequate preparedness for the class/activity or even field trip. We do not discriminate on tardiness but it will affect your quality of experience. All Guides, students and families are dressed appropriately for an outdoor experience, with plenty of water and snacks. We recommend bringing a hat and dressing lightly, as well as brining bug spray. All other materials for any activity are always provided by the Guides.

We understand that due to life's uncontrollable circumstances a class/event may not start or end at the stated time. We give a buffer time of not more than 15 minutes to start and end for each class/event.

Health & Safety Policy

All of our Lead Guides are First Aid and CPR certified with a well equipped first aid kit in hand at all times. We have a Risk Assessment Policy and Emergency Preparedness and Response Policy in place that all Lead Guides are updated on. At every class, event, field trip or meet up there is at least one Lead Guide present if not more.

All cuts, grazes and open wounds must be covered when possible to avoid infection. Major injuries that constitute ‘reportable injuries’ will be reported to the parent of the child and made known to Alexandra Loupatatzi Mallia; Founder and Head Lead Guide at Mindful Seedlings LLC via email or text message in writing, as well as recorded in our shared “Accident Report File”.

Since Mindful Seedlings is predominantly an outdoor program, we encourage all families to carry with them a first aid kit at every class, meet up, event or field trip. We provide a full list of what that should entail in the handbook provided to you after registering. We also provide the option to purchase our first aid kits via the shop

If your child takes medication, has an allergy, sensitivity, needs special needs attention, please include that in your signed waiver form prior to your attendance, and inform the Parent Guide or Lead Guide before the class/event. Ensure medication is available and is only administered by the parent or first aider.

We believe in the respectful freedom and autonomy of each students' needs and thus provide leniency for lunch or snack time when preferred. Though, we also provide allocated time for a snack break. Please provide lunch or snack for your child/ren at every class/event/meet up or field trip.

Should a child require the toilet, if the Lead Guide or Parent Guide is not available to assist either a parent or assigned Assistant Lead Guide will take that child into the appropriate lavatory to use the toilet. If a nappy change is required, then only the parent of the child will be allowed to change the nappy unless requested otherwise by the parent and both parent and Lead Guide have mutually agreed verbally or in writing. Students are welcome to use the lavatory at any time they feel the need to.

Any student who is showing symptoms of a sickness such as; fever, coughing, runny nose, sneezing, tummy pain, etc. may be asked to leave the class/event/meet up to better rest at home, by the Lead Guide or Parent Guide and will be given a full refund or credit towards the next class via a report to the administrative team; Alexandra Loupatatzi; Founder and Head Lead Guide at Mindful Seedlings.

In order to avoid this inconvenience, we highly suggest to not attend any of our classes, events, meet ups or field trips when you or your child/ren are sick and showing symptoms of an illness.
